Dr. Vishal Patel, DPM, DABPM

About Dr. Patel

Dr. Vishal R. Patel was born and raised in New Jersey. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ with a BA in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology. He then went on to obtain his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Patel completed his surgical residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with an added credential of Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery at Hackensack Meridian Palisades Medical Center. Based on the selection of administration, he was chosen to serve as Chief Resident.

Dr. Patel is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Patel specializes in all ailments of the foot and ankle including elective forefoot surgery such as bunions and hammertoes, rearfoot reconstructive surgery, emergent trauma with internal and external fixation methods, diabetic limb salvage, infections, sports medicine, arthroscopic procedures, plastic surgery techniques, and Charcot reconstruction.

When not in the office or operating room, Dr. Patel enjoys playing and watching basketball, football, baseball, and golf. He can be found at the nearest dog park, on the local hiking trail, or at the farmer’s market getting ready to cook his next meal. He has traveled all over the world with his fiancée and they both hope to make Atlanta their home for life.
