Ankle and Foot Centers of Georgia is proud to participate in the Annual “Its’ The Journey” Atlanta 2-Day Breast Cancer Walk. 2012 marked their 10th year Anniversary and our volunteers had a blast! We look forward towards participating every year!
Our podiatrists and team at Ankle and Foot Centers of Georgia volunteer to work alongside with “Its the Journey” Organization (Atlanta 2-day Breast Cancer Walk) to take part in this exciting adventure to cure breast cancer!
Founded in 2002, It’s the Journey’s Organization mission is to strengthen Atlanta’s breast cancer community by raising money and awareness for local Atlanta organizations that focus on breast cancer education, early detection, awareness and support services, as well as the unmet needs in the breast cancer community.
For the past several years Ankle and Foot Centers of Georgia has taken part in this mission, and this year was no different. Among the volunteers this year were several of our physicians; Dr. Joseph D. Giovinco, Dr. Ketan B. Patel, Dr. Michael Dombek and Dr. Naim Shaheed. Stationed along stops spanning 30 miles our podiatrists as well as our experienced medical staff were equipped with medical supplies and medicine, to effectively treat blisters, fallen arches, sprained ankles and many more injuries that were incurred during this walk to battle breast cancer. Ankle and Foot Centers of Georgia provided the utmost quality of care; the same outstanding care that is provided to our patients at all our metro Atlanta locations.
