About Dr. Thaker

After obtaining BS degree in Engineering Chemistry at SUNY at Stony Brook in NY, I attended college of podiatric medicine in Chicago. Following graduation from the podiatric medical school, I accepted a surgical residency position also located in Illinois. I returned to New York area in 1986 and joined a private practice as an associate to treat podiatric patients in midtown Manhattan. While in private practice, I also was a member of medical staff at various NYC hospitals (Cabrini Hospital Medical Center, St. Clare’s Hospital,  Cabrini Nursing Home). Eventually after 20 years of completing NYC practice, around 2006 my family and I decided to move to Atlanta region and remained here until 2012. While in Atlanta, I was on staff at Gwinnett Medical Center and obtained highest level of surgical privileges available to a podiatric surgeon at both Lawrenceville and Duluth campuses until 2012. After several years spent in NYC, we have relocated back to Georgia permanently. Our daughter graduated from Georgia Tech and our son is currently attending medical school.
