Dr. Cameron Neilson, DPM

Dr. Cameron Neilson is an esteemed member of our team at Ankle & Foot Centers of America. His academic journey began at Brigham Young University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. It was here that he met his wife, Ciera, embarking on a life filled with both personal and professional achievements.

Following their move to Oakland, California, Dr. Neilson achieved his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from the College of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University. His dedication to his field led him to the prestigious Advanced Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery Residency at Emory Healthcare in Decatur.

As a committed professional, Dr. Neilson is not only a practicing physician but also a respected faculty member of The Podiatry Institute. His ongoing research and lectures have made significant contributions to podiatry nationwide. His work includes a notable study on the use of a K-Wire Axis Guide for the Evans Osteotomy, published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Neilson’s expertise is further enhanced by his affiliations with Piedmont Eastside, Piedmont Atlanta, Emory Decatur, and Wellstar LaGrange Hospitals.

Outside of his professional sphere, Dr. Neilson is a devoted husband and father of two wonderful children. His work-life balance is a testament to his commitment both to his family and his profession.
