She is now seeing patients at the Emory Midtown and Lithonia offices, where she provides caring, individualized treatment for a full range of foot and ankle conditions.
Dr. Mohammed brings advanced experience in diabetic limb salvage, reconstructive surgery, wound care, trauma, and sports medicine. Her philosophy is simple—combine medical expertise with compassion to help every patient walk comfortably and live without pain.

Meet Dr. Shajira Mohammed
A Georgia native, Dr. Mohammed is deeply passionate about improving patients’ mobility and quality of life through modern, personalized care. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine (2017–2022), where she built a strong foundation in clinical diagnosis, surgical technique, and patient-centered care.
After medical school, she completed her Podiatric Residency at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami (2022–2025). During her training, she cared for patients with a wide range of complex conditions, including diabetic wounds, traumatic injuries, and structural deformities. Her work with minimally invasive procedures and reconstructive techniques helped refine her skills and shape her patient-first approach.
Today, she continues to use that experience to deliver care that’s thoughtful, precise, and focused on long-term results.

At the Emory Midtown and Lithonia locations, Dr. Mohammed provides both surgical and nonsurgical treatment for foot and ankle conditions. She takes a special interest in diabetic foot care and limb preservation, where early detection and timely treatment can make all the difference.
